Russia calls Ukrainian statements on Black Sea nonsense

Moscow, July 21 (Prensa Latina) Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zajárova described as nonsense statements from Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dmitri Kuleba, who said that Russia could turn the Black Sea into its inland lake.

Earlier, when commenting on the visit to Georgia by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, the head of Ukrainian diplomacy said that Kiev could present various proposals to counteract Russian presence in the Black Sea.

He stated that if member countries of North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), plus Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova, do not join forces, Moscow will ‘turn the Black Sea into its inland lake, divide it into two parts and begin to completely rule in the area’.

In her account on social network Telegram, Zajárova ironically said that ‘as soon as Kuleba stops talking nonsense, the lake will once again be the sea and its two halves will be united again’.
