UK Young Labor calls for the end of US blockade against Cuba

London, Jul 17 (Prensa Latina) Young Labor of the UK Labor Party on Saturday expressed its solidarity with the Cuban people and government in the face of destabilizing attempts financed and promoted from abroad, and also called for the end of the US blockade against Cuba.

Through this blockade, media hype and the 243 sanctions imposed by Donald Trump, the United States is currently trying to harm and subvert the Cuban social system, the youth section posted on social networks.

In addition to calling for the lifting of all sanctions and unilateral measures imposed by Washington, the UK Young Labor members demanded the end of misinformation campaign on Cuba and also called upon the world’s socialists to show solidarity with the Cuban Revolution.

The text recalled the medical assistance provided by Cuban doctors and health workers to dozens of nations to fight the Covid-19 pandemic, and also Cuba´s contribution to confront apartheid regime in South Africa.

It also highlighted Cuba´s achievements for education and health, in spite of facing up attacks and trade war that have been promoted by the United States since the 1959 Cuban Revolution triumph.
