Argentinean artists call for end to US interference in Cuba

Buenos Aires, Jul 17 (Prensa Latina) Artists from the Argentinean city of Rosario who represent the so-called Frente Cultura en Movimiento (Culture in Movement Front) called for an end to the United States interference in Cuba, and demanded the lifting of the economic, commercial and financial blockade against that country.

In a communiqué, the Front’s members expressed their opposition ‘to US interference in Cuba, to the farce of the health cordon and to the continuity of the blockade, condemned by the overwhelming majority of the countries of the world.’

On behalf of peace and respectful coexistence among peoples, we demand an end to the unilateral blockade and terrorism against the sisterly nation of Cuba. For a great, united and sovereign homeland, expressed the artists from Rosario.

Several Argentinean politicians, intellectuals and social organizations have expressed their support for the Cuban Revolution recently in the face of destabilizing attempts in that country, and urged US President Joe Biden to end an unilateral measure that dates back 60 years and was reinforced with 243 sanctions by his predecessor, Donald Trump, amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
