Vietnam trusts that Cuba will overcome difficulties

Hanoi, Jul 16 (Prensa Latina) The tightening of the US blockade against Cuba has worsened the economic and social situation in the country, but the Cuban people will get back on its feet, the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Le Thi Thu Hang said.

In fact, we have some information that shortly after the Jul.11 riots, life in Cuba stabilized, Hang said at her regular Thursday´s press briefing.

We strongly believe that Cuba will overcome US blockade-caused drawbacks and the Covid-19 pandemic, and will be able to go on successfully implementing its economic-social model, she stressed.

Once again, she stressed, Vietnam urges the United States to end the economic, commercial and financial blockade and its hostile, unilateral policy on Cuba for the benefit of the two peoples and peace, stability and development in the region and around the world.

Hang said her country always remembers Cuba´s solidarity amid most difficult moments. ‘Vietnam, she said, will always be backing the Cuban people and will provide the greatest possible support.’

On Thursday, the academic and permanent Vce President of the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Association Nguyen Viet Thao claimed that the ‘color revolution’ attempts on Cuba are doomed to the most thunderous failure.
