In a communique, the Ministry of Defense expressed concern about the incident and recalled that this territory is an inalienable and sacred part of China.
As the Ministry emphasized, the landing of any aircraft or incursion into China’s airspace must have permission from Beijing authorities or it must have serious consequences.
It called on the United States not to send wrong signals to the separatist forces in Taiwan and avoid exacerbating tensions in the area.
The Ministry also urged Taipei leaders not to underestimate the situation or seek external support to their secessionist aspirations, because they could only put the island under threat.
