Haji Adam is already part of a list of over 40 candidates aspiring to the post of head of State in this country, according to Hiiraan.com.
The also Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2012 to 2014 expressed in a ceremony in Mogadishu that her decision to compete in the elections is due to the need to change the course of politics in the nation.
She also indicated that as candidate of the opposition National Development Party she will fight against corruption, increase business investments and give a new life to that country.
The vote will take place after the Federal Government and the authorities of the five states in the national territory reached a deal on May 27th for the holding of elections.
After signing the deal, the Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble considered that the implementation of such agreement will allow carrying out elections in a transparent, free and fair way.
The political crisis worsened after the expiration on February 8 of the current President Abdullahi Mohamed Abdullahi´s term, who is alias Farmajo.
Since the overthrow in 1991 of the ruler Mohamed Siad Barre by armed guerrillas, this State has suffered a warlike conflict and political and social instability, a situation aggravated by the existence of a fragile central authority and radical Islamic groups.
