In an international press conference, the head of Cuban diplomacy recalled that the president could ease the policy of suffocation towards the island instead of maintaining the siege in the midst of Covid-19.
‘Biden should listen to his own citizens who speak out against the blockade and the possibility of traveling around the world’, he said.
Rodríguez also summoned the head of the White House to listen to the international community, which mostly rejects the siege policy.
‘It would do well to listen to Cubans residing in the United States whose families in Cuba suffer from the manipulation of immigration and political issues that affect the relationship of peoples and family reunification,’ he also denounced.
It takes a lot of cynicism to ask the Cuban government to listen to society while applying the economic siege, he said.
