In an official statement released on Monday, the PSUV highlights Cuba’s role in the fight for a better world, its historic legacy and the triumph of the noblest ideals of a nation that built a just and independent society under its indisputable leader, Fidel Castro.

It denounces the attempts at destabilizing the country and points out that the US is behind it and its constant obsession of eliminating the Cuban Revolution, by implementing the same script used in other nations, such as Venezuela.

It stresses Diaz-Canel’s wise leadership in a critical moment for Cuban society and for the world, amid Covid-19 and Washington’s blockade.

The PSUV expresses ‘its inconditional support and solidarity with the fraternal people of Cuba, and will offer, if necessary, its men and women to fight the Empire and its lackeys.’

‘The Cuban people, which has given humankind so much, compels us to defend it from the empire’s criminal plans, to defend it with dignity, loyalty and patriotic determination like that of our founding fathers to build the independence epic in the glorious field of Carabobo,’ according to the statement.

It also underscores the certainty that Cuba will get by once again and reiterates the willingness of Venezuelan socialists to help in any way necessary.

Since demonstrations and destabilization attempts in Cuba became known, there have been several expressions of solidarity by the Venezuelan people and their leaders, always underlining the fraternity that unites both countries.
