The popular Porras Park, a symbol of protests for social demands, was the scene chosen to, in front of the statue of Cuban heroes Jose Marti and Antonio Maceo, reject the media campaign against Cuba promoted from the United States.
About this issue, the Solidarity Committee in neighboring Panama Oeste province expressed its support to the Cuban people and Government, President Miguel Diaz-Canel and the Communist Party of Cuba, after ‘an attempt to generate disorder, supported and financed by the United States.’
In a brief communique, the Committee also demanded the cessation of the ‘criminal, unfair and unilateral blockade against Cuba, imposed by the US Government.’
Footages and videos about the demonstrations in support of the Government, led by Diaz-Canel, which took place this Sunday on the island, accompanied the texts by the Panamanians, who appreciate the work done by the Henry Reeve medical brigade that is still working in this country to counteract the Covid-19 pandemic.
There were also words of encouragement from those who assured that Cuba is not alone and therefore, condemned the destabilizing actions by a small group, which seeks to end the people’s peace, amid the crisis generated by the pandemic.
