The president of the Departmental Chamber of the Book of La Paz, Ernesto Martínez, told the national media that it will be a very particular version since, statistically it is 26 years of the literary event, suspended in 2020 due to the pandemic.

According to Martínez, the celebration of the Silver anniversary of the Fair will take place through digital and on-site platforms, at the planned seat at Chuquiago Marka Fair open from September 15 to 26.

The literary event, with Germany as the country guest of honor, gets the on-line participation ready for all foreign writers and artists who for some reason cannot visit La Paz.

Likewise, the Chamber presented the Cultural Foundation of the Central Bank of Bolivia as an invited institution.

Among the measures followed to avoid crowds during the event, are the suspension of visits to schools as well as the limitation of entrance without a vaccination card to the fair grounds that before the pandemic had registered up to 20 thousand visitors.

Booksellers, translators and literary distributors from the region will join the contest where Bolivian works translated into German will stand out, as well as books about Bolivia written in that language and translated into Spanish.
