On his Twitter account, the Cuban president highlighted the sending health professionals from the province of Pinar del Río to fight the pandemic in Matanzas province, the one reporting the highest figures in the country.
‘That is Cuba, supportive and firm,’ Díaz-Canel live-tweeted, with hashtag #MatanzasNoEstáSola (#MatanzasIsNotAlone).
In another tweet, the Cuban leader meant that his country´s fate depends on many variables, but mainly on every person´s action, and also called for unity, discipline, responsibility and courage.
‘All for the life of all,’ he tweeted. On Saturday, 41 health professionals from Pinar del Río: 33 nurses and 8 physicians traveled to Matanzas to treat the locals.
In today’s complex scenario, ‘we are all fighting for everyone’s life, because everyone’s life is too important to the country,’ Díaz-Canel tweeted.
