The president reviewed difficulties that the Caribbean nation has been going through since 2019, when U.S. blockade strengthened Washington’s persecution of fuel shipments, medicines and food imports.
He pointed out that the measures against the island reflect a vicious policy against Cuba and now takes advantage of adverse situations generated by the pandemic to promote campaigns against the Government, to create destabilization.
Díaz-Canel exhorted those who incite disorder and try to discourage the population from lifting the North American siege so the country can develop.
