According to a press release from the Cuban embassy, Sam Nodarse’s literary work makes a journey through the genesis and the work carried out by this group of health specialists, with special emphasis on the purposes and results of their work in several parts of the world.
For the essay, entitled The Cuban Medical Brigade should receive the Nobel Peace Prize, its author was honored by the State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Keissal Melissa Peters.
Last January, the Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines made official before the Norwegian Committee the nomination of the Cuban Medical Brigade ‘Henry Reeve’ for the Nobel Peace Prize.
Cuba sent a brigade of 44 health specialists to St. Vincent and the Grenadines, which was joined in late April by a group of the Henry Reeve International Contingent of Doctors Specialized in Disaster Situations and Serious Epidemics.
