Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh explained that there is no violation with the decision to produce silicide fuel plates that require uranium enriched to 20-percent purity.

In response to statements by the United States and the European troika, the spokesperson pointed out that the objective of that product includes medicinal and humanitarian uses.

The diplomat criticized the European trio that accuses Iran, while they failed to comply with the provisions of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) or nuclear deal, sealed in 2015.

The Islamic Republic waited a year so that the rest of the signatories of the deal (the United Kingdom, France, Russia and China, plus Germany) take decisions to save it, but there was passivity of the so-called European troika.
