The specialists will conduct a two-week mammozoological analyzes on environmental factors of this disease associated with viruses directly transmitted by rodents, added the Ministry of Health and Sports.
The research –at a mining camp in the Mayaya municipality- will be in charge of assessing health and environmental risk factors and impact of these animals, the Head of Rodent-Borne Diseases Tania Flores said.
The team is made up of specialists in environmental health, agricultural health and food safety and also of a specialist to identify species and toxonomy of the rodent, Flores enlightened.
