The Tartus cultural center hosted an exhibition of traditional crafts made by children that also offered artistic, lyrical and theatrical performances, amid a notable official and popular presence.
Likewise, a documentary film about the workshops conducted by the Department of Culture on several activities related to the development of children’s talents and abilities in diverse artistic and literary aspects, was screened.
The celebration will last until July 11 and also included the launching of colored balloons with phrases of peace and love from and for Syria in the Festival Square in the Tartus boardwalk.
Children’s Day is an annual celebration dedicated to the brotherhood and understanding of childhood. This event is celebrated on different dates depending on the country.
