Costa Rica receives almost 2.8 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines

San Jose, Jul 2 (Prensa Latina) Costa Rica has so far received 2,794,785 doses of anti-Covid-19 vaccines and 2,440,385 of them have been administrated, with which 811,163 people have already completed the immunization against this disease.

According to data from the National Emergency Commission (CNE), 646,260 doses of Covid-19 vaccines developed by Pfizer-BioNTech and AstraZeneca arrived in this country in June, only surpassed with 890,670 doses of those medications, which entered in May.

The CNE stated that the total number of doses received surpass almost 600,000 planned to complete the second quarter of 2021, set at 2,200,000 shots of anti-Covid-19 vaccines.

The Commission announced that according to the provisions in the contracts signed by the country, 2,500,000 doses of coronavirus vaccines must arrive in this nation from July to September of this year.
