In a meeting with the Cuban ambassador in Baku, Alfredo Nieves, the Azerbaijani official valued the work of the Cuban’s specialists as successful and pointed out that the stability achieved in Azerbaijan in the face of the pandemic is the result of the cohesive work between professionals from both countries.

Musayev highlighted Cuba’s rapid response and the interest shown by its health authorities to accompany the efforts of Azerbaijan in counteracting the disease.

Musayev also highlighted the cooperation opportunities that exist between Azerbaijan and Cuba in the areas of health and drug production.

Nieves spoke of the trust and support received by Cuban professionals from the managers and staff of the hospital centers where his brigades worked.

The Cuban diplomat also met with the Minister of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan, Kamaladdin Heydarov, who considered the work of the Cuban health personnel in the fight against the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in Azerbaijan to be efficient.
