The towns of Sacaba and Senkata were the scene of massacres perpetrated by police and military against peaceful protesters who demanded the return to constitutionality after the coup against President Evo Morales in 2019.
According to the ABI news agency, the contest organized by the Cultural Foundation of the Central Bank of Bolivia (FC-BCB) summons all those interested in participating in the categories of poetry, short stories, essays, dramaturgy, testimonial photography and creative artistic photography.
The deadline for the admission of the works is set for July 30th, and the winning works will be acquired by the FC-BCB, said its president, Luis Oporto.
This is the sixth edition of the contest promoted by the institution, and the first dedicated to the violent acts that left about thirty fatalities and dozens of injuries and detainees as a result of the repression of followers of Morales and the Movimiento al Socialismo party.
