‘We celebrate with joy the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. We join, fully aware of the historic importance of this event,’ says a letter from PVP Secretary Humberto Vargas to Chinese President and CPCh General Secretary Xi Jinping.

These 100 years of the CPCh have been a period of great historic significance, from its founding to today’s glorious China, says the text from the Costa Rican communists, which was published in Libertad, newspaper, the official publication of the Central Committee of the People’s Vanguard Party.

Thanks to the wise leadership of the party, China is currently a power not only in economic development, but also in scientific and cultural achievements. It has been a decisive factor in the fight for global peace based on respect for the States’ sovereignty and equality, the letter highlights.

The Costa Rican communists affirm that today’s world demands a system of relations among the States with full respect for each one to develop without foreign interference, illegitimate sanctions and military threats.
