That campaign launched by Trump resumed punitive measures lifted with the signing of the JCPOA in 2015 between Tehran and the 5+1 group (United States, United Kingdom, France, Russia and China plus Germany).
But Washington abandoned what was sealed and violated the consent with the aim of pressuring the Iranian authorities to renegotiate the pact.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh warned in a tweet that there is limited time in the dialogue in Vienna, Austria, to recover the JCPOA.
Iran will not sit forever at the negotiating table to discuss the issue, he said. It is still possible to reach a resumption of the agreement, if Washington abandons the coercive policies established by the former US president.
Khatibzadeh reiterated that he will not accept the intentions of the current US Prime Minister Joe Biden, whose team aims to maintain some anti-Iranian sanctions as a tool of pressure.
