‘We call for Respect for the Cuban sovereignty and independence,’ as condemned by FMLN´s Secretariat of International Relations (SRI), a left-wing Salvadoran party that has been traditionally supporting Cuba’s causes.
In a message given to Prensa Latina, SRI branded the economic, commercial and financial US blockade as ‘unfair, anti-moral, anti-historical and anti-human’.
Just a few hours before the vote at UN on another resolution against US blockade, several people in El Salvador support the condemnation of the blockade.
‘Defending Cuba, we defend our America,’ said Nidia Díaz, FMLN´s former guerrilla commander and a signatory of the Peace Agreements finishing off 12 years of armed conflict in El Salvador.
