The company’s poll ranked films such as Star Wars, Titanic, The Lord of the Rings, The Godfather and Harry Potter on the first places.
Moreover, the survey on film habits and preferences, which involved a divers sample of 1,500 people, completed the ‘Top 10’ favorite films with La vita è bella, Pretty Woman, Gone with the Wind and The Fast and the Furious.
The project, which was aimed at the Spanish market, delved into the prevalence of productions and filmmakers from Spain in the cultural scene, with outstanding movies like Los santos inocentes, by Mario Camus, 8 apellidos vascos, by Emilio Martinez, and Torrente, by Santiago Segura.
It also featured filmmaker Alejandro Amenabar for his films Tesis, Los otros and Mar adentro, and Luis Garcia Berlanga (Bienvenido Míster Marshall), Jose Luis Cuerda (Amanece que no es poco) and Pedro Almodovar (All about My Mother and Women on the Brink of a Nervous Breakdown) are also on the list.
However, Spanish moviegoers prefer foreign films starring in actors such as Brad Pitt, Robert de Niro, Julia Roberts, Will Smith, Meryl Streep, Johnny Depp, Antonio Bandera, Leonardo Di Caprio, Harrison Ford, Tom Cruise, Tom Hanks, Angelina Jolie and Penelope Cruz.
