In a letter to UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, the president of the solidarity organization, Hadi Khansari, considered that the psychological and economic pressures imposed by Washington on Cubans are criminal.

¨Cuba has put up with sanctions against its people and government for decades, the longest in the history of the world,¨ the text noted.

Due to that cruel policy, the Cubans’ mental and physical health and quality of life have been endangered, as a form of genocide, it condemned.

¨On behalf of the Iran-Cuba Friendship Association, the message says, ‘We demand the lifting as soon as possible of those sanctions, which we consider inhumane and unjust.’

The letter also called on the international community to stand up against that oppressive and inhumane behavior from the United States. ¨We hope that the world will become a place for equality, peace and a just life¨, the press release pointed out.
