Regarding the domestic conflict in Ukraine, Lavrov and Schmid expect to discuss the work of the Contact Group, in which the OSCE coordinates direct dialogue between Kiev and the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk, according to the text.
The mission’s mandate extends to the entire Ukrainian territory, warned the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which also called to inform about the human rights situation and pay attention to national minorities.
‘We emphasize these aspects, particularly, in the context of the rampant neo-Nazism in the country, the violations of the linguistic and educational rights of its citizens, which do not receive enough attention,’ the document stressed.
According to Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, the agenda of the talks includes issues from the OSCE current work in three security dimensions: military-political, economic-environmental and human rights.
