Ambassador to UN Diego Pary also congratulated Guterres and reiterated Bolivia’s support for the Secretary General’s vision and actions based on the pacifism and multilateralism that characterize his country’s foreign policy.
Guterres was prime minister of Portugal and UN High Commissioner for Refugees before becoming head of that organization in 2016, when he took over the position from South Korean diplomat Ban Ki-moon.
