A convoy of 32 trucks and containers loaded with looted wheat left for Iraq through the illegal Al-Walid crossing, local media and activists informed.
The column was guarded by vehicles of the so-called Syrian Democratic Forces (FDS), which Damascus accuses of a separatist militia that complies with Washington’s agendas.
The theft of this crop by the United States forced the country to import wheat amid many difficulties derived from the economic blockade and sanctions by the northern power.
The Damascus Government has repeatedly denounced the illegal presence of US troops, which it described as an occupation, and assured that the Pentagon’s actions encourage terrorist activity and seek to plunder the country’s wealth.
