In a fraternal and supportive message to his Prensa Latina colleagues, Sarmiento said the agency has been ‘a different school to understand reality’ for Latin American journalists.

‘Its news dispatches and journalistic products for the written press, radio and television have helped to better understand the unfolding history not only of Cuba but also of our countries,’ he added.
