Dr. Duran added at his daily briefing on television that 31,386 patients are still in hospitals to date, 5,946 of whom are suspected cases, 17,815 are under epidemiological surveillance, and 7,625 are active patients with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, which causes Covid-19.
In order to detect the virus, 19,791 samples were tested on Tuesday, and 4,667,671 real-time PCR tests have been analyzed in Cuba so far.
