CNN Brazil television chain indicated that such vaccine, made in a center which faced problems due to drug contamination, should have arrived yesterday morning as planned but there were delays.
Due to flight logistics, Healthcare Minister Marcelo Queiroga, confirmed the shipment will arrive this Wednesday.
With the delay, the state capitals should get their shares, at most, from next Friday to Saturday since the Healthcare ministry made a pledge to deliver in 48 hours.
Doses will arrive in the international airport of Guarulhos, in Sao Paulo city, and will be stocked in the Ministry´s Distribution Center.
¨We keep talking to the Healthcare Ministry and other local authorities so the vaccine could be available as soon as possible, Janssen said in a statement.
It pointed out that the company made a commitment to provide equitably worldwide with their antiCovid-19 vaccine in a non-lucrative way for its use during the pandemic.
¨As part of this commitment, (the lab) acknowledges the importance of making sure that people in Brazil get the vaccine on time¨, they reiterated.
