Tamara Garcia, a member of the Executive Secretariat, responded to questions of ‘insensitivity’ by senators of the ruling party, to whom she replied that ‘thousands of people are eating in popular pots.’
On the union’s website, Garcia affirmed that during the strike, the ongoing Covid-19 vaccination, emergencies, specific treatments, as well as essential health services will be guaranteed.
Regarding the collection of signatures to submit the Urgent Consideration Law to a referendum that will continue during the strike, she reproached the governing party legislators that ‘every time we want to condemn that of the government, we are accused of wanting to destabilize, and everyone thinking differently seeks to conspire.’
Some few days ago, the union of the Fuel Administration accused National Party senator Sebastian Da Silva to commit ‘repeated attacks to the union organization, undermining jurisdiction, freedom and the right to strike.’
