The Cuban capital shows a certain decrease in the number of cases over the last weeks, but numbers are still high, the president wrote on his official Twitter account.

¨Such a trend has not been followed by other provinces and today there are 7,048 active patients in the country, the highest number so far. We have to go over everything we are doing¨, he added.

In this regard, the head of State called to complete the operational process regarding the established protocol.

¨We cannot be overconfident, especially now that we are on the road to immunization,¨ he warned.

According to statistics from the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP), 578,385 Cubans have already vaccinated with the Abdala or Soberana 2 candidates, which have been administered in risk territory and groups.

Until June 12, Cuba had administered 3,583,709 doses of the vaccine candidates, and 1,970,250 people had already been shot with at least one dose of them.
