MIGOB, in coordination with UAF, continues to train non-profit NGOs so as to facilitate their work in their financial statements, Frania Urey, MIGOB´s official, told the government portal El 19 Digital.
Urey said the ministry also availed itself of this opportunity to report the results about national risk assessment on money laundering and terrorist financing.
Nowadays, the Nicaraguan Prosecutor’s Office is conducting an inquiry process for alleged laundering of money, goods and assets, which basically involves two NGOs, both the Violeta Barios de Chamorro Foundation and the Nicaraguan Foundation for Economic and Social Development.
