The new 2021 Atlantic Charter will recognize that even though the world is far different from 1941, UK and the United States share the same values, according to the statement.
In the first in-person meeting between the two leaders, Biden and Johnson will work on efforts to resume transatlantic travel and agree a new commitment for the UK and U.S. to co-operate on challenges including climate change, security, global trading system and defense of democracy.
The parties will also analyze other areas of bilateral cooperation and the need to preserve the Northern Ireland peace agreements, of which Washington is one of its guarantors.
The agreements we will sign today, based on our common values and visions, will be the foundation for a sustainable global recovery, Johnson said.
