Let’s demand actions that oblige the Israeli entity to respect international resolutions related to the Separation of Forces Agreement, and prosecute all parties involved in supporting terrorism and in the attacks that violate Syria’s sovereignty, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged in letters addressed to the UN secretary-general and the president of the Security Council.
The text stated that Tuesday’s aggression coincided with an escalation of criminal attacks by armed terrorist groups against the civilian population in the terrorism-free zones.
The repeated Israeli attacks have not succeeded nor will undermine Syria’s intention to regain the occupied Golan or the progress for building the country, the letter said.
According to Damascus’ authorities, Israel conducted some 100 attacks against Syrian territory in 2020 and already exceeded 15 this year.
