Members of movements of solidarity with Cuba and from Cubans residing in Europe will bring to a close a campaign aimed at gathering funds destined to purchase syringes.
The initiative contemplates sending to Cuba 3 million syringes, whose goal the State Movement of Solidarity with Cuba (MESC) is close to achieving.
Sodepaz (Solidarity for Development and Peace), main promoter of the idea, stated that they had gathered over 215,000 Euros in Spain, which guarantees for the time being the acquisition of more than 2,5 million syringes destined for the Covid-19 vaccination.
MESC trusts that the amount of three million syringes will be met and even surpassed by June 23rd, as part of a campaign under the slogan ‘Blockades kill, your solidarity saves lives’.
According to the sources, a videoconference of Cubans residing in Europe will take place next June 19th, in which the demonstrations programmed to take place in Spain on next 20th, 22nd and 23rd will be ratified.
MESC and the Federation of Associations of Cubans Residing in Spain plan to conduct ‘numerous’ activities all over Spain, with a Caravan Against the Blockade programmed for June 20th, in Vallecas, Madrid.
