Regarding the fifteenth edition of the meeting of Cuban residents in the so-called Old Continent, organized from France, ACH President Francisco Manuel Freyre highlighted the importance of the forum and its contribution to the coordination of new initiatives to support Cuba.
According to Freyre, the association he is a member of will share its experiences in solidarity work with the participants, particularly the sending of humanitarian aid to Cuba to support the fight against the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States for more than 60 years.
In this regard, he commented that four containers with health and basic materials, among other resources, were sent from the Netherlands in the past two years, within the context of situations such as the impact of the tornado that hit Havana in early January 2019 and the Covid-19 pandemic.
The 15th Meeting of Cuban Residents in Europe, known as ECRE, will be held virtually amid the health crisis, with topics on the agenda such as the defense of Cuban sovereignty and independence, the condemnation of the blockade, the strengthening of the role of new generations and descendants and the work on social media.
