The event, which will run until Friday, June 11, has Serbia as a guest of honor and brings together 2,000 domestic and European companies that show their leading offers in sectors such as aviation, food, technology, household appliances and personal care products, among others.
According to projections, the event is expected to attract more than 6,000 buyers to close deals with foreign representatives.
Chinese President Xi Jinping welcomed the opening of the Expo, defined it as an important platform for consumer goods trade and predicted a good impact in the global economic recovery.
During the opening of the trade fair, other Chinese authorities reiterated the country’s willingness to import more goods from Central and Eastern Europe in the next five years.
