Since last Tuesday, this area has been the scenario of a feud between two of the main armed gangs in the country to control the territory.

Although images of dead, wounded and people surviving in a public square flooded social networks, the Government had not yet pronounced itself on the climate of terror in the area that connects Port-au-Prince with the southern departments. On Sunday, interim Prime Minister Claude Joseph visited the area along with the Police Director Leon Charles and confirmed that public security restored order in the territory and reopened traffic, which had been paralyzed since early last week.
