Intellectuals, writers, teachers and students will attend the different virtual platforms to talk on artistic practices within the dynamics of society, cultural production processes and the adoption of new scenarios as a direct consequence of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Outstanding figures from Latin America and other regions honor the event’s program, including Atilio Boron and Manuel Santos (Argentina), Pascualina Curcio (Venezuela), Fernando Buen Abad (Mexico), and Ignacio Ramonet and Ramon Freire (Spain).
Organized by the University of the Arts (ISA), the meeting, which focuses on debate, the socialization of ideas and the presentation of research results, dedicates its 20th edition to the 45th anniversary of that artistic institution.
The event will run until June 11, and some of its sessions will focus on the Fidel Castro’s speech ‘Words to intellectuals’, which he made six decades ago and is the basis of Cuba’s cultural policy.
