The Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained in a communiqué that the June 7 meeting will take place in Chongqing, southwest China, as part of the 30th anniversary of ASEAN-China relations.
In addition to an exchange of views and the search for ways of collaboration to fight Covid-19, the ministers will discuss ‘regional and international issues of common interest,’ the source added.
The ministers of China and Malaysia are expected to explore new initiatives for a better partnership between the two nations, according to the communiqué.
The issues for debate include cooperation on Covid-19 vaccines, infrastructure development and high-tech agriculture.
