Over seven million PSUV members and the socialist youth will update their information as of Friday, when the registration of new members will also begin, according to an official statement.
Twenty-three sites were established in the capital alone, as well as the largest states, with some twenty sites providing the service, with actions also taking place in the Bolivar squares in the smaller-population states.
The PSUV posted online the guidelines for the coming elections for consultation, and the members who are registered and whose member cards are valid may run as possible candidates.
Francisco Ameliah, member of the party’s Internal Elections Commission, explained on television that the process is consists of three key stages: the postulation, the approval of the proposal at the assembly and, finally, the counting of votes to choose the winner.
