In a statement, Cuba Si France Association -in charge of organizing the rally, urged Cuban friends, democrats and defenders of justice to join the demonstration on Saturday at 11:00, local time, at the Jacques-Rueff Square in the Champ de Mars to condemn the economic, commercial and financial US blockade against Cuba.
The association also stressed to put pressure on Washington to lift immediately and unconditionally its blockade and to end the suffering caused to the Cuban people for over six decades.
The mobilization will be part of the call launched by the Europa por Cuba platform to hold a world day to demand the lifting of the US blockade from June 6 to 12, taking actions on social media and on the streets of different cities around the world.
Such activities seek to draw the world’s attention in the face of a new vote at the UN General Assembly on June 23, with the need to end the US blockade against Cuba.
We count on your support, a support that will be felt all over France and the world, so that this inhumane policy stops, Cuba Si France platform reported.
