In a comment after the Sunday recitation of the Angelus, the Supreme Pontiff described the meeting as ‘a day of reflection on the worrying situation in the country and to pray together for the gift of peace and stability.’

I commend this intention to the intercession of the Mother of God, so venerated in the Harissa Shrine, and from now on, I ask you to follow the preparation of that event with supportive prayer, invoking a serene future for that beloved country, Pope Francis said.
