India to have 120 million Covid-19 vaccines available in June

New Delhi, May 30 (Prensa Latina) India will have around 120 million doses of vaccines available in June for the national immunization program against Covid-19, the Health and Family Welfare Ministry reported on Sunday.

So far, the country of 1.35 billion inhabitants has provided around 212 million jabs of vaccines to fight the pandemic, according to official data quoted by the Zee News agency.

India registered this Sunday another 165,553 people affected by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, which causes the contagious disease.

The South Asian nation continued its daily downward trend of Covid-19 cases, although it reported another 3,460 deaths due to health complications caused by the ailment.

The number of infections confirmed since January last year reached 27,894,800, while the number of fatalities rose to 325,972.

The national patient recovery rate increased to 91.25 percent, after registering more than 25.4 million medical discharges.
