Arche met with her host, Sergey Ryabkov, and they discussed cooperation issues in the commercial, scientific and social security areas, according to the Presidency’s website.
During the meeting, they formally completed negotiations for a social security deal, which will be signed soon and which links social security agencies from the two countries.
The agenda also included the follow-up of issues related to energy cooperation and infrastructure plans, as well as the training of technicians involved in agriculture, aquaculture and research programs, among others.
She also visited the headquarters of the Eurasian Economic Union to discuss with the director of the organization’s Trade Policy Department, Igor Nazaruk, various possibilities for increasing bilateral trade and the impact of the loss of the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) for Uruguay.
At the multilateral level, they agreed on the need to fight illegal transactions, cyber crime and non-communicable diseases through the approval of specific international legislation.
