The National Vaccination Plan portal announced that 3,115,252 people (39.8% of that population) have already received the first dose.
So far, Dominican Republic has received 5.3 million vaccine doses and nearly 4.1 million people have been inoculated with two doses.
President Luis Abinader said that his government will begin to vaccinate children under 18 in the coming weeks, once the first batch of Pfizer doses arrive in the country.
