The head of Cuban diplomacy referred to the declaration issued on Thursday by the Nicaraguan National Assembly, which demanded the end to Washington’s economic, financial and commercial blockade against the Caribbean island.
Rodriguez warned that the US is implementing a foreign policy of subjugation, blockade, impositions, pressure and blackmail against several countries of the world, mainly the weakest, thus violating international law, human rights and the peoples’ free determination.
In that regard, he demanded rapid, strong and blunt actions to have the blockade lifted for good, without conditions.
Rodriguez made his demand less than a month before the voting at the United Nations General Assembly on Cuba’s draft resolution on the Necessity to end the US blockade against Cuba.
