In Paris, the call is to rally near the Eiffel Tower to condemn the siege implemented by Washington for more than six decades, as part of a world day to reject the blockade, scheduled from June 6 to 13, by an initiative of the Europe for Cuba channel.
The activities organized in France are part of the several global actions to support Cuba in the face of a new vote at United Nations General Assembly on June 23, on a draft resolution about the necessity to put an end to the policy of economic suffocation, tightened by the Donald Trump administration (2017-2021).
The call includes French, Latin American associations and Cuban residents, unions affiliated with the General Confederation of Labor (CGT, in French language) and political forces such as the Communist Party and the Pole of Communist Revival in France.
Preparations for the mobilization are in charge of the Cuba Si France association, linked to solidarity with the Caribbean nation for three decades, after that role corresponded to the France Cuba association during the condemnation campaign to the blockade held on March 26, 27 and 28.
