The congress discussed GFTUK’s tasks in the implementation of the resolutions of the 8th Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea, held early this year.

GFTUK Central Committee President Pak In Chol called to boost mass movements in accordance with the party’s goal and the demands of the unfolding reality in order to renew the union’s work.

Pak also urged to boost grassroots organizations, a key element to improve and strengthen the Federation’s work.

Besides the delegates, the 8th Congress of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea was attended by officials from the Workers’ Party of Korea, the administration and the armed forces.
